Celebrating 20 Years of Mezzanine
We are extremely excited and proud to celebrate 20 years of Mezzanine this November. We cannot fully express our gratitude to every loyal guest who has spent time with us here at Mezzanine over the years. You have been part of the journey, and what a journey it has been.
Starting as one of the first hotels on Tulum beach, originally known for its legendary Friday night parties that brought the community together, we have now grown and flourished into the boutique hotel and restaurant we are today. We continue to create memories with friends from near and far—both new faces and familiar ones.
Our origins remain with bringing people together from all over the world, be that through music, food and good times. From Ibizencan party vibes in the earlier days, to our more chilled paced current lifestyle, our 9-room hotel is an intimate place to call home here in Tulum.
Those who have shared a meal with us know that our authentic Thai restaurant and bar is a pioneer in itself, producing the freshest, most true-to-origin thai food in the region, guided by our talented triad of chefs at the helm. Consulted by Thai chef Dim Geefay, our resident chef Jakkree Putaruk (also from Thailand) and executive chef Liliana Lopez (Puebla, Mexico) harmoniously produce the delicious food that we have all come to know and love here at the hotel. Thailand and Mexico are located along the same lines of latitude which means many important ingredients in Thai cooking can be grown here. All our dishes are prepared fresh, when ordered, we use no MSG and no processed sugar, the sweetness in our dishes comes from “piloncillo” which is a raw form of sugar cane juice and we produce our own freshly squeezed coconut milk for the curries. Read on about our restaurant and chefs here.
Whether you stayed with us, danced with us, or feasted with us at our oceanfront Thai restaurant and bar, we’d like to honor our patrons by cherishing the moments we’ve shared at Mezzanine throughout the years.
What has made Mezzanine special to you? Share your stories with us using #MezzanineStories, and let’s celebrate two decades of friendship and good times together!
